+ What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?
We can accommodate vegetarians, however, we are unable to accommodate gluten-free or vegans at this time. Please let us know if anyone in your group has another type of dietary restriction or food allergy. As long as we know this in advance, we are happy to accommodate as best as we possibly can!
+ How much food will be included in the tastings? Do I need to eat before?
Over the course of about three hours, we will enjoy a progressive tasting across seven different restaurants. Portion sizes will be smaller than what you would normally receive, in order to accommodate all of the delicious stops. Guests of the Manhattan Beach Food Tour find that the tastings are MORE than enough for a full meal. We would only recommend eating something light before the tour, but of course, whatever you are most comfortable with.
+ Are beverages served on the tour? Any alcoholic beverages?
We will offer every guest a small water bottle before the tour, as well as providing ice water at a few of the stops. There will be one stop that offer alcohol; this includes a small wine tasting.
+ What if I’m running late for the tour?
In the confirmation email we send out to our customers, we will provide the address of our first stop, as well as the phone number of your tour guide so you are able to locate them. If you realize you are running late, please contact them as soon as possible.
+ Does the tour end at the same place we meet?
No. However, we end the tour only about half a mile from the starting point. We are happy to direct anyone to where they parked after the tour!
+ Is there parking near the tour meeting point?
Yes, there is public parking near the tour meeting point, but it is subject to availability. We do recommend carpooling when possible or using rideshare options. Please see our parking page for helpful parking advice. We will also remind everyone of specific parking information in the confirmation email we send out after your tickets have been purchased.
+ What happens if it rains?
Our tours will run, rain or shine! Luckily, in Southern California, rainy days are few and far between. On average, we enjoy 284 days of beautiful sunshine every year!
+ How much walking is involved?
We walk at an easy pace on flat and downhill streets, covering no more than a 1 mile radius. There will be at least 4 sit-down stops over the course of three hours. The rest of the time, our guests are expected to walk or stand.
+ Is the tour wheelchair and stroller accessible?
Yes! However, please be aware that there are some hills.
+ Are bathrooms available on the tour?
Yes, there are bathrooms available at almost every stop, just ask your tour guide!
